Christmas 2022 - Gift Guide

Christmas shopping can be a stressful time of year. To make it easier we’ve put together a list of unique gift ideas for that special someone. Whether you’re looking for a gift that lasts a lifetime, or to impress with a piece of art that you can both enjoy, we have something memorable for all.

As a bonus, all orders made online or in the gallery before December 25th this year will receive a complementary quartz crystal point and an Extraordinary Objects tote bag.

Here are our 12 picks for extraordinary Christmas gifts this year:

Belonging to the African T-Rex, this fossilised dinosaur tooth was sourced in Morocco and is approximately 66 million-years-old. Also available is a larger variety of the same tooth (view here). Each tooth is sold with an embossed Extraordinary Objects gift box.

Previously featured in our all-female show ‘Salute’, Olivia Wright uses her finds to create abstract collages of patterns and memories. Whether it’s a train receipt or an illustration from a vintage book, her aim is to bring a collection of disconnected images and transform them into a new whole.

If you want to give a gift that will last a lifetime, why not buy them a slice of natural history? Agates are primarily formed within volcanic and metamorphic rocks with this example being accompanied by amethyst and quartz crystal deposits. You can view our selection of crystals and minerals here.

Why not surprise your significant other with an original piece of art from Turner prize winning David Shrigley. All framed using museum-standard, non-reflective glass these are a great fit for any room of the house.

Featuring Mexican artist and icon Frida Khalo and Bored Ape NFT motifs, this framed print from The Connor Brothers recent ‘Bastardised Oil’ series will be a fun addition to any interior. Also available from the same series is ‘Gang Jesus’ (view here).

This stunning gogotte is a rare natural beauty found in only one place in the world; Fontainebleau, France. Aptly named ‘Gift’, we think this will be the perfect addition to your Christmas mantel this year.

Why not give someone this incredible framed work by Swoon. Creating street art, installations, and sculptural assemblages, Swoon merges art and activism with the intent of improving the world.

Roses are red, violets are blue, for Christmas a desert rose is the gift for you. Desert rose is a type of selenite formed from a combination of water, wind and sand. Sand becomes embedded in the Selenite blades, while additions of water overtime help form the signature ‘rosette’ formation.

This limited edition hand painted vintage paperback with silkscreen features one of our favourite quotes by the artists (very in keeping with the Christmas spirit). It’s also a very accommodating size, measuring at 27 x 20.5 cm frame. Visit our New Acquisitions or The Connor Brothers catalogue to check out more.

Found at the famous Hell Creek Formation, Wyoming, this perfectly preserved dinosaur bone is the vertebrae of an Edmontosaurus. Scientists believe it is part of the same Edmontosaurus featured within the Extraordinary Objects collection. If you are looking for a standout gift, look no further.

Add a touch of sparkle to your home with this stunning limited edition print by the infamous Damien Hirst. The Empresses’ is a series of five prints depicting carefully composed images of butterflies by Damien Hirst and published by HENI Editions.

Our final gift may come in handy for when you burn the turkey this year!
