Announcing our latest exhibition 'The Last Supper'
AN EXHIBITION CELEBRATING AN ELECTIC MIX OF ALL THINGS EXTRAORDINARY; FROM THE CONTEMPORARY TO THE PREHISTORIC
11 NOVEMBER - 22 DECEMBER 2023
Last Supper Christmas Party THURSDAY 7 DECEMBER 6-8PM
The latest exhibition from Extraordinary Objects showcases a carefully curated selection of rare and unique pieces. Established art names including Bridget Riley, Jean Michel-Basquiat, Tracey Emin and Grayson Perry will be presented alongside dinosaur skulls, meteorites, minerals and ancient fossilised wall murals. New works by British artists Damien Hirst, Alma Singer and The Connor Brothers will also be available to view and purchase.
Taking inspiration from the German ‘Wunderkammer’, also known as ‘Room of Wonder’ or ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’, the gallery will display its most prized collection of art, curiosities and rarities from across the globe. Wunderkammern arose in mid-sixteenth-century Europe as a place to hold all manner of wondrous and exotic objects. In essence these collections can be seen as the precursors to museums.
The Last Supper presents a contemporary interpretation of the traditional cabinet of curiosities. There is no specific genre that defines the collection. Each object has been chosen for its extraordinary nature; man-made and natural.
After a wonderful three years in Cambridge, Extraordinary Objects Gallery will be embarking on a new, exciting chapter and relocating South in 2024. We’d like to thank all our local clients and followers for their support. To commemorate our time spent in this beautiful city, we’ll be hosting a farewell ‘Last Supper’ Christmas Party on Thursday 7 December from 6-8 PM with plenty of Champagne and free giveaways.

The Last Supper, and Extraordinary Objects Gallery will close its doors on 16 December 2023. It will be the last day for the gallery in Cambridge, but not for Extraordinary Objects. We look forward to sharing what’s next in 2024…
Thank you Cambridge and Goodnight…
