The Tucson Mineral, Gem & Fossil Show 2023

In early February, Extraordinary Objects and The Connor Brothers flew to Arizona to explore the world’s largest annual fossil fair in Tucson. We’re teaming up with the artist duo later this year to collaborate on another project that combines natural history and contemporary art. Watch this space.

Here’s a little insight into the world of prehistoric creatures and extraordinary fossils…

A stunning articulated Ichthyosaur skeleton (with it’s own red carpet) on display at the beautiful Granada Gallery.

The Connor Brothers (James Golding and Mike Snelle) view a collection of original dinosaur vertebrae

A stunning collection of fossilised fish wall murals and rotating sculptures. These extraordinary artefacts are from the Late Jurassic (163-145 million years ago) and were sourced in one of the world’s largest fossilised lakes: the Green River Formation in Montana, USA.

A Campo del Cielo meteorite weighing over 50 tonnes is displayed alongside prehistoric marine reptiles and dinosaurs from the Jurassic period.

Driving across the Green River; once home to extinct creatures of the dinosaur world.

The fossilised paddle of an Ichthyosaur sourced and prepared in Dorset, UK. This beautifully presented fossil was one of the many things that caught our attention…

The skeleton of the deadly ‘Allosaurus’ dinosaur who roamed the earth during the Late Jurassic period; 155 to 145 million years ago.

Sourcing some rare iridescent ammonites to add to the collection.

We’ve returned with many exciting new purchases to come including meteorites, lunar rock, prehistoric teeth, dinosaur bones and more. Watch this space…

You can view our current collection of available extraordinary objects from across the globe by viewing our Natural History catalogue, or visiting the gallery at 14 Green Street Cambridge. Open Weds-Sun 12-5 PM.
